RPGG Ep. 22 - Folktronica: A Beautiful Meeting Point

This show we listen and look at the genre of Folktronica, which has been called “A beautiful meeting point between the ancient and the digital.” Folk music and electronic music, field recordings, acoustic and synthasized sounds. It’s a genre on the cusp of a new tradition, and far from being a flash in the pan or a passing fad, it’s now branching out in several directions at once as it crosses paths with Trip Hop, psychedelia, among others; even moving in the dance club direction by incorporating Deep House elements in live performance.
